Leigh Ledare: Collector's Commissions (2008, ongoing)

Collector’s Commissions is an ongoing series in which a selection of collectors were invited to photograph Ledare within the context of their own art collection.

The series was originally created in conjunction with the limited edition of Ledare’s book, Pretend You’re Actually Alive in 2008: each purchaser of the book’s limited edition was allowed to direct and pose a photograph of Ledare objectified within their art collection.

Each of these collaborations produces an edition of two prints, split equally between the artist and collector involved in the creation of the work.
